The items which included maize flour and beans were donated to 407 survivors at Mbuyemwana and Chikumba camps in the area of Traditional Authority Changata.
According to Billy, the support has been mobilized by a group called Friends of Malawi based in Canada.
"This is after I sent them pictures on the devastation of the disaster. I am urging well-wishers to render any kind of support to the survivors, since they are in dire need," he appealed.
On his part, Village Headman Chipolonga thanked the grouping.
