Malawi Eyeing More Business Opportunities In Mozambique

Malawi Consulate in Tete says in collaboration with the ministry of trade has advanced plans to hold a trade mission July this year in Quelimane Mozambique, as one way of increasing trade and investment between the two countries.
Happy Saka, Malawi Consul General in Tete Mozambique has told Zodiak Online after meeting Secretary of State Cristina de Jesus Xavier Mafumo and the Governor Pio Augusto Matos for Zambezia Province on Monday.
Saka said this is one effort aimed at exploring wider opportunities for Malawian businesses.
Secretary of State Cristina de Jesus Xavier Mafumo says Saka's visit to Zambezi a is a step further in strengthening the already cordial relations.
Mafumo said:-"As Malawian Consulate delegation is here in Quelimane, our delegation from Zambezia is participating in this year Malawi Trade Fair in Blantyre, which just shows that we are all advancing a common goal.
Malawi better also consider utilizing Quelimane port, which is the nearest route to the sea than Beira and Nacala."
Malawi consulate general officials currently in Zambezi province, are apart from trade,also interacting with various government officials from among other departments, Health, Education, Agriculture and Immigration.
Malawi opened a consulate in Tete in 2016.
