Man On the Run After ‘Murder’ of 19-Year Old
A man has allegedly gone into hiding in Ekwendeni after he reportedly murdered a 19-year-old boy who was apparently in a love affair with his step-daughter.
The allegation is that the man, Dyton Halazi of Halaz Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mthwalo in Mzimba district, had a disagreement with the boy whom he accused of having a love affair with his step daughter.
Later on the evening of Sunday, January 06, 2020, the two fought and it is alleged that Halazi assaulted the young boy until he became unconscious.
The boy was rushed to Ekwendeni Mission Hospital where he was announced dead on arrival.
“Postmortem results revealed that death occurred due to severe internal breeding,” reads a statement from Mzimba police.
The boy, 19, was identified as Aubrey Moyo, of Chithinda Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mthwalo in Mzimba district.
