Tit-For-Tat Ends Up In Man, Woman Forced Naked in Public

In Kasungu on Monday, a business woman in rage striped a man who walked into a restaurant, asked for a meal, ate it, but had nothing to pay for it.

But in a rare show of sympathy for the man, a group of males swarmed the restaurant looking for the woman, whom they got and also forced her to lay it all bear.

Of course there was commotion inside the market in Kasungu when the enraged men undressed the woman in retaliation. Some on-lookers thought this was over-reaction.

After the obvious indecent assault of the woman, well-wishers whisked her away.

This is what eye witness, Patrick Banda, said to us;

“The man only had K20 in his pocket. He pleaded with the business lady to keep his phone as collate to no avail. The woman insisted she wanted the money there and then,” said Banda recalling that the man looked somehow tipsy.

“I alerted my friends. We went back to the restaurant to help the man but she had already striped him naked,” Banda said.

Onlookers say this is when some men in the market decided to go tit-for-tat.

They demolished a restaurant belonging to another woman where the targeted woman had gone to hide. When the mob located the woman in hiding, they pulled out and shown what she had shown the man.

“We have received those reports. But it would be too early for us to diverge more information at this stage,” District police spokesperson Inspector Harry Namwaza said. He, however, confirmed that the matter was already under investigation.

But the chairman of vendors, Banet Sanudi, condemned what had happened.

Sanudi says the market committee would soon meet to review the incident.
