As beliefs that body parts of persons with albinism are rituals for wealth show no sign of abetting unknown people are alleged to have tampered with a grave of a two year old boy with albinism in Mulanje.
This is the second time for the same grave to be tampered with in a space of ten days.

The boy according to police spokesperson in Mulanje Sub-Inspector Gresham Ngwira died on 6th December, 2019 and his remains were laid to rest the following day.

"Unlike the first attempt, this time around the suspected criminals managed to find the coffin and pulled a cloth from it in an already unveiled tombstone," said Ngwira.

He said the suspected men did not actually broke the tombstone but dug from the edges of the tombstone, found and broke the concrete that was sealed during burial and then got the coffin.

"We are hunting the people suspected to have tampered with the grave," said the police PRO.

He continued advising the public to disbelieve that body parts of persons with albinism are rituals for wealth accumulation.
