COVID-19 Outbreak Affects Plans of Industrial Hemp Production

One of foreign investors interested in industrial hemp production in the country says the COVID-19 outbreak has affected progress of their plans to invest in the country.

A research fellow at the Center for Biocultural Diversity at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, Dr. Axel klein, says the spread of the virus has put everything on hold.

Dr. Klein has told us from the UK which is in a lock down that they are expecting to make progress once the virus is contained after Malawi Parliament passed a bill to legalize the crop.
