Parly Interrogates New NRB Boss

The Legal Affairs Committee of Parliament says will closely monitor performance of National Registration Bureau Chief Director, Mackford Somanje, whose appointment is being questioned by some electoral stakeholders.

Chairperson of the Committee, Kezzie Msukwa, said the committee’s decision comes amid speculation that Somanje’s appointment is a strategic DPP political move to manipulate data ahead of the presidential election.

But the NRB Chief Mackford Somanje, speaking after appearing before the committee dismissed the assertions attached to his appointment and vowed to work.
