RSA Lockdown Effects: 10 Malawians Return Home Dead

Ten bodies of Malawians killed in South Africa during the recent Covid-19 lockdown have been brought back home through Mwanza.

Seven of the ten bodies are of Malawians from Mzimba and one each from Nkhata Bay, Ntcheu and Nsanje districts.

The bodies came in at the weekend according to spokesperson for the department of Immigration in Mwanza Pasqually Zulu.

The circumstances of the death of the ten are still hazy but include mob-justice characteristic of xenophobia.

At the time of the interview, the bodies were yet to be repatriated to the districts.
