Education Gets K7bn Support for Education Sector COVID-19 Response

Government has received K7.5bn from Global Partnership for Education to support the Covid-19 education response for two years.

Spokesperson for the ministry if Education, Chikondi Chimala, said today that the funds will benefit seven million school age children whose education has been disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Chimala says the grant will help address challenges the pandemic has ignited in the education sector and to support recovery of the system.
