MHRC Urges Political Players to Safeguard Human Rights

Chairperson of the Malawi Human Rights Commission Reverend Patrick Semphere says political players have a key role to play in safeguarding human rights, especially now that the country is preparing for court-sanctioned fresh presidential elections amid Covid-19 pandemic.

Reverend Semphere said this in Lilongwe this morning during orientation for nine commissioners of the Commission.

UNDP Resident Representative, Shigeki Komatsubara, said the UNDP is committed to help promote human rights in Malawi by helping out with ICT gadgets for smooth operations.
