Outcry as Gvt Awards Multi-million Kwacha Contract to Businessman & DPP Supporter Leston Mulli for Supply of Maize to NFRA
Government has awarded a multi-million kwacha contract to Businessman and DPP supporter Leston Mulli for the supply maize to the National Food Reserve Agency.
The manner in which the contract was awarded is now subject to public scrutiny.
But Mulli Brothers, Managing Director Leston Mulli has told Zodiak Monday he was awarded the contract after an open tender process.
Meanwhile, misunderstandings have erupted between some maize traders and Mulli Brothers Limited on accusation that the company is buying maize from traders on prices lower than the government set minimum price.
