MERA Donates K43 Million Worth of PPEs to Fuel Transporters

The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) has donated 43 million kwacha worth of Covid-19 preventive items to fuel transporters, and some district Health Offices.

MERA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Collins Magalasi says fuel transporters are exposed to the virus as they often travel to Tanzania to Mozambique hence the move to protect them from the pandemic.

International Haulage Brokers IHB General Manager Chrispin Mussa says the PPE’s will help their members who are at a high risk of contracting and transmitting the virus.
