The incident happened at the time supporters of the party were in the streets celebrating the victory of Tonse Alliance in the Tuesday presidential election.

Eye witness Patrick Chikopa, a guard at the premises, said the suspected arsonist pretended to be party officials, bringing food to the revelers.
