Phalombe Registers Over 5 Thousand Teenage Pregnancies From January to May

Phalombe district has registered a total of 5,447 teenage pregnancies from January to May 2020 but there are fears the number may increase due to prolonged stay of learners at home.

This is according to a gender-based violence report which has been released by a youth-oriented organization in the district.

Speaking to Zodiak online, Executive Director for Phalombe Youth Arms Organization, Vincent Thom says there is a need for policymakers to swiftly intervene.
