MERA CEO Magalasi & Three Others Granted Bail

MERA CEO Collins Magalasi and three other co-accused persons have been granted bail by Lilongwe Chief Resident Magistrate Violet Chipawo.

The others are Patrick Maulidi and Bright Mbewe from MERA and businessperson Dorothy Shonga.

They have been ordered to pay K500,000 as cash surety and K5 million kwacha as non- cash surety.

Magalasi and the others have also been ordered to surrender their travel documents and that they should not interfere with witnesses and should not leave Lilongwe without notifying the court.

The four are answering fraud and money laundering charges.
