Chakwera Proposes Reopening of Air Transport & Education Sector in September

President Lazarus Chakwera has suggested that the transport and education sectors start full operations in September this year, depending on the Covid-19 situation.

He was speaking in his weekly national address last night but was quick to say strict guidelines will be applied and a rigorous assessment will be done on service providers.

The president also said consultations are being made to meet safety standards of the International Air Transport Association ahead of the reopening of airports.
