Among others, the report cites less preparation time for the elections as well as untimely disbursement of funds as some of the challenges they encountered.

MEC Chairperson Justice Dr. Chifundo Kachale told journalists MEC is ready to clarify on any questions the President might have on the report after seeing it. 

MEC is meanwhile expected to conduct by-elections in 5 constituencies by October, as well as implement ward demarcations in big constituencies nationwide. 

This is the first time MEC has met the President after the elections.
