Junior Police Officers Accuse Authorities of Unfair Treatment
Some Junior Police Officers in the Central East Police Region have accused their authorities of being inconsiderate and unfair on the order to be providing free security to a private company, Chipiku Stores.
The police officers who asked for anonymity have told Zodiak online Wednesday that by providing free security to Chipiku stores, their lives are in danger saying they cannot go anywhere to complain should they be attacked at night as there are no any signed documents on the arrangement.
However, Commissioner of Police responsible for Central East Police Region, Happy Mkandawire has told us that the arrangement is free of charge because it is Police own initiative following a spate of vandalism, robbery, and looting of Chipiku stores adding that as police they are entitled to provide security to anyone in the country.
