State Withdraws Appeal on Release of Bushiris

The state has withdrawn a case in which it asked the High Court to review a magistrate’s court decision to unconditionally release the Bushiris on the basis that their arrest in the country, was illegal.

In a letter we have seen, Director of Public Prosecutions Dr. Steven Kayuni says the review case has been overtaken by submission of the formal extradition request to Malawi from the government of South Africa.
