Taskforce Reviewing Civil Service Engages General Public

A special task-force tasked to review operations of the civil service on areas such as the system of allowances has taken a consultative approach by engaging the general public in the exercise.

Spokesperson for the Public Sector Reforms which is the secretariate of the taskforce, MacCarthy Mwawimba says currently, there is overwhelming feedback from the public as people are sending views to the taskforce on a number of reform areas.

President Lazurus Chakwera ordered the committee to carry out the task within three months.
