Ministry Warns Of Closing Businesses For Companies Violating Thin-Plastic Ban

The Ministry of Forestry and Natural Resources has warned manufacturers of thin plastics that government will start closing their businesses if found violating the thin plastics ban which was uplifted by the courts recently.

The warning follows a reminder the ministry has issued to manufacturers of the thin plastics on enforcement of the ban.

Minister responsible Nancy Tembo says the ministry will soon scale up inspections and massive sensitization to citizens on the dangers of using thin plastics to humans and the environment in general.
