TEVETA Struggles to Find Land for Extension of Training Centers

Technical, Entrepreneurial, and Vocational Education and Training Authority-TEVETA say it is struggling to find land for extension of training centers in the country, a development which is hindering their desire to meet the demand for increased vocational skills training.

Acting Chief Executive Officer for the Authority, Modesto Gomani, says this has led to conflicts with the community over land issues a thing which has pulled back the willingness of some investors.

The sentiments are a reaction to a report by Inkosi Jalavikuwa of Mzimba who has allocated land to his subjects for the extension of Chololo Skills Development Center which is in his area.
