Dubai Firms Ask Govt to Cancel Their Gas & Petroleum Licenses on Lake MW

Two Dubai companies that wanted to explore gas and petroleum on Lake Malawi have asked government to cancel their licenses.

Secretary in the ministry of mining says Amra Oil and Lak Gas have notified government that they will not be able to proceed with the project due to financial challenges.

Dr. Joseph Mkandawire says government is assessing the implications of the move before granting the two companies their wish.
