MBS Finds Minimal Challenges in Fertilizer Market Survey

The Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) says its fertilizer market survey has found minimal challenges in compliance with standards such as under-weight and overweight.

MBS Public Relations Officer, Monica Khombe, says the Bureau has quarantined some fertilizer that failed to meet the standards and has advised some traders on what to do to meet the standards.

Meanwhile, the president of Farmers Union of Malawi, Flighton Njolomole, has urged MBS to sustain the exercise, saying it will ensure that farmers access quality farm inputs.
