3-Yr-Old-Girl Diagnosed With Polio In LL

A three year-old-girl has been diagnosed with polio in Lilongwe to mark the resurfacing of the disease which was wiped out two years ago in Africa.

Malawi has since declared the situation an outbreak and alerted the World Health Organisation-WHO.

Laboratory scientists say the type 1 poliovirus resembles another one in Pakistan.
