HIV/Aids Fight Face Challenges, Herbalists Claim To Have a Cure

The fight against tuberculosis and HIV/Aids in Malawi continues to face challenges, especially with some herbalists who continue to claim they have cures for the two diseases.

But now vice secretary for the Association of Herbal Dealers in Malawi, Symon Simfukwe, is warning against the practice saying doing so is hampering ongoing government effort to defeat the two.

Simfukwe said this today during a meeting that National TB and Leprosy Elimination Program was Organised with over 30 herbalists and other health stakeholders in Dedza.
