Vendors Clash Over Trade in Lilongwe
Tsoka market vendors in Lilongwe Old Town have gone on a rampage in the streets in protest that city authorities are doing nothing about growing street vending in the city which, they argue, is negatively affecting sales for those plying their trade in designated markets.
The market vendors this morning took over the main street cutting through the town rendering access by road almost impossible.
Armed riot police have been called to duty.
