The police are in running battles with the motorcycle taxi operators after a suspected motorcycle operator hijacker was set alight last night.

Armed riot police are patrolling their premises and the streets of Kasungu municipal council this morning after the incident last night and a tip that the operators are now hunting for other suspects in locations for instant justice.

Police spokesperson in Kasungu, Inspector Harry Namwaza, has confirmed the developments.
