MEHN Cautions Govt on Medical Drugs Safety

The Malawi Health Equity Network (MHEN) has challenged government to devise strict measures of safeguarding medical drugs in public health facilities, arguing drug theft remains a big problem affecting health service delivery.

The call follows President Lazarus Chakwera's national address in which he said Malawi government has entered into an agreement with Pfizer pharmaceuticals in which the country will be supplied with medical drugs.

MEHN Executive Director George Jobe told Zodiak Online that if no strict checks are in place, Malawi will lose a great opportunity to access all essential medicines and vaccines.
