FIFA President to Visit Malawi
FIFA President, Giovanni Vincenzo Infantino, will be in Malawi from Wednesday next week.
This is his first ever visit to Malawi and the second to Africa.
FAM Chief Executive Officer, Alfred Gunda, says among other tasks on the visit, Infantino will preside over the official inauguration of Mpira Village in Blantyre.
Mpira Village was set up with funding from FIFA.
Meanwhile, FAM says it is now ready to roll out FIFA-FAM leagues across the country following an approval of funding by the football world governing body.
FAM Technical Director John Kaputa told Zodiak FIFA will fund the under 16 leagues for four years and the 2019-2020 edition will commerce after age verification this weekend.
Kaputa says FAM will also introduce an Under 14 league under the FIFA-FAM initiative.
