Organizers of Winter Amapiano Gig Insists On Bringing Zodwa Wa Bantu
Orgnanizers of the Winter Amapiano gig this weekend in Blantyre have insisted the South African performer Zodwa Wa Bantu will attend the show, even as a spectator, despite government banning the artist.
Biggie Lu of Pusha Entertainment told us Zodwa is allowed to visit according to the ministry of Tourism and Culture, but the line minister Michael Usi has told us Zodwa is not even allowed to come in Malawi for the particular event.
Meanwhile, cultural studies associate professor Anthony Gunde says it is in the best interest of Malawians that such a person should not come if her act does not conform to our traditions.
