Security Agents Need Training To Curb Human Trafficking -GLOMO

Global Hope Mobilization (GLOMO) an organization fighting cases of human trafficking in the country says unless security agents are imparted with skills to track down perpetrators and reduce corruption efforts to curb the vice will remain a tall order.

GLOMO Executive Director, Caleb Thole says Malawi being a transit country, most of the illegal immigrants use it as a conduit to reach their destination hence the need for the citizenry to embrace a spirit of patriotism by not harboring the aliens.

He then called on the government to be strict in the enforcement of the existing legal frameworks and sensitization of the citizenry in order to win the fight.

Reports show that human trafficking generates over 150 billion dollars annually across the globe.
