Inflation Rises By 4%, Buyers to Face Rise of Basic Supplies

Malawians are expected to face continued rising in the cost of goods and services on the market, this according to the latest inflation figures by the National Statistical Office (NSO), which indicates a rise from 19.1% in May to 23.5 percent in June.

Reacting to the development, the Centre for Social Concern Programs Manager responsible for economic governance, Bernard Mphepo says this will make the cost of living to rise further as the minimum wage is still at K50, 000.
