HRDC Suspends December 4 Demos

The Human Rights Defenders Coalition has suspended their December 4 demonstrations against alleged fraudulent sale of public land in the country.

HRDC chairperson Timothy Mtambo made the announcement yesterday after visiting Livimbo schools in Lilongwe and meeting officials from Ministry of Lands.

The HRDC says, however, December 10 street protests to force MEC chair Dr. Jane Ansah to resign, will proceed.
