Increased Poaching Worries African Parks

Officials from African Parks have expressed worry with the increased rate of poaching in their reserves which is making them lose an average of four wildlife animals monthly to the malpractice.

Park Manager for Liwonde National Park, Dave Robertson expressed the concern yesterday when his institution officially opened an eight-week training for 35 game ranger recruits for the Park, Nkhotakota and Majete game reserves.

Robertson says the new recruits will assist in tightening the security in the three reserves which are essential in boosting the country's economy among others.
