Youth Decide Asks Tonse to Implement National Youth Manifesto

Youth Decide Campaign Team Leader, Charles Kajoloweka has asked the Tonse administration to show commitment implementing promises in the National Youth Manifesto that was endorsed in 2019.

Kajoloweka speaking at the start of a two-day National Youth Conference in Lilongwe said poor governance is a threat to the realisation of the MW2063 development agenda.

Minister of Finance Sosten Gwengwe speaking on the country's State of Economy said huge debt burdens continue to choke progress of development.

Meanwhile, Stakeholders advocating for child justice system in Chitipa district have expressed worry with the non-functioning of a district Child Justice Committee which they say is attributing to delayed access to justice by children accused of broking the law.

The stakeholders sounded their disappointment during a District Court Users’ Committee meeting organized by National Initiative for Civic Education (Nice) Trust yesterday.

Chairperson for the Court Users Committee, Magistrate Billy Ngosi said there is need for the police and social welfare office in the district to revamp the committee which has not been operation since June 2020.
