TEVETA For Serious Scrutiny of Foreign Examining Bodies Certification
The Technical Entrepreneurial and Vocational Education and Training Authority TEVETA says there’s need for serious scrutiny of some certification by foreign examining bodies so that they meet the needs of the industry.
During the popularization of the Malawi TEVET Certificate to employers in Mzuzu yesterday, TEVETA Executive Director Elwin Sichiola says the organization has noted that apart from the certificate, some of the foreign qualifications are not good.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Labour says it is in full in support of the establishment of the Assessment and Certification Unit (ACU) which will help ensure certificates are recognized by the industry.
