Parliament Passes Revised National Budget

Parliament has passed the 2022/2023 revised national budget which has been increased by 12.3 billion kwacha from the initial 2.84 trillion kwacha to 2.85 trillion kwacha.

This followed the passing of the remaining 23 votes of revised budgetary allocations to some ministries and government departments which saw some ministries such as transport, tourism, energy and Labour having their initial allocations cut.

Minister of finance Sosten Gwengwe has since asked controlling officers to ensure they are spending within their limits.
