20,000-Seater Thyolo Stadium to be Completed in February

The 20, 000-seater Thyolo stadium is expected to be completed in February next year following the revision of the budget from K2.6 billion to K5. 6 billion.

Construction commenced in 2018 and was initially due for completion in 2020.

Thyolo District Commissioner, Douglas Moffat has told Zodiak that the Public Procurement and Disposal Authority (PPDA) has now given a nod of revising the budget to accommodate cost implications triggered by the recent devaluation of the kwacha and fuel hike.

Meanwhile, Thyolo District Sports Association chairperson Charles Mankhwala, has expressed delight over the development.
