2021 NGO Sector Report; 52 Percent of NGOs Keep Sources of Funding Secret

The 2021 annual NGO sector report by the Non-Governmental Organizations Regulatory Authority shows that 52 percent of active NGOs in the country still keep sources of their funding a secret.

The authority says it plans to make the disclosure mandatory moving forward.

Minister of gender Patricia Kaliati while urging NGOs to comply with the requirements has asked authorities in district councils to improve their coordination with NGOs working in their areas to ensure donor funds are being put to good use.
