Shortage of Dieticians Fueling Cases of Malnutrition - Specialist

Increased cases of malnutrition in the country are being attributed to inadequate dieticians in Malawi’s health facilities.

This is according to Dr. Alexander Kalimbila, who is Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) nutrition specialist.

He says that the country only has 12 dieticians in referral hospitals a situation which he says is denying Malawians knowledge on good eating habits.
