ADMARC Seeks MK400-Million Bail-Out
Agricultural Development and Marketing Corporation ADMARC officials say they need 400 million kwacha to transport maize from its reserves to depots across the country.
Head of Human Resource and administration at Admarc Ethel Zililakhasu made the disclosure when they appeared before the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament yesterday which has directed officials to have all the depots stocked amid concerns of scarcity of the commodity in the depots.
The committee's acting chairperson Nicholas Dausi says it is a pity to see people starving yet Admarc claims to have opened all its markets early December.
