Ntcheu Man hacks Woman to Death
A mob has beaten to death a 40-year-old man in Ntcheu district for allegedly assaulting an aunt to his ex-wife after the two picked a disagreement.
Ntcheu police deputy Public Relations Officer, Sub Inspector Rebecca Kwisongole, has identified the deceased as Chikumbutso Magalasi.
Kwisongole said the incident happened at Mfundambala Village, Traditional Authority Chakhumbira in the district.
"The deceased was once married but later divorced his wife. On Tuesday, he went to his ex-wife where a disagreement erupted between him and an aunt to his ex-wife," said Sub Inspector Kwisongole.

Sub Inspector Kwisongole said in the process, Magalasi hacked the woman on the head, a development which angered community members.
"Following the incident, an angry mob assaulted the man and later died Wednesday due to severe bleeding due to head injury as a result of the assaulted wounds," she added.
The deceased Magalasi, aged 40, hailed from Chipojola Village, Traditional Authority Chakhumbira in Ntcheu.
In the meantime, police have lunched a man-hunt to arrest the suspect who is on the run.
"Following the incident, an angry mob assaulted the man and later died Wednesday due to severe bleeding due to head injury as a result of the assaulted wounds," she added.
The deceased Magalasi, aged 40, hailed from Chipojola Village, Traditional Authority Chakhumbira in Ntcheu.
