Nasfam Lays-Off Over 30 Guards

The National Smallholder Farmers Association in Malawi has laid off over 30 security guards who were manning some of the association’s estates in Kasungu district.

NASFAM Human Resources Manager, Chisomo Banda, is yet to provide details on the development.

Some of the workers who have been sacked have accused the association of treating them unfairly, evicting them from the association’s houses before the one week they were given to move out.

“Where do we go with the children now. This has been so abrupt,” says one of the guards.
