TNM in K1.8 billion Profit Loss

Mobile phone service provider TNM plc has reported a profit loss of K1.8 billion for the year 2022 on 2021’s K9.7 billion.

The company’s chairperson Ted Sauti Phiri says their business performance suffered from the after-effects of COVID-19, devaluation and forex shortage, among others.

He said this earlier in the week at the company’s annual general meeting in Blantyre.

This has made the company not to declare dividend for the year 2022.

One of the shareholders, Lovemore Tinto, has expressed displeasure at the development, asking the management to be innovative to excel in the tough economic environment.
