UN Women Want Men, Boys Involved in Ending Gender-Based Violence

The United Nations Women Country Representative Clara Anyangwe says increased engagement of men and boys in ending gender-based violence could help reduce cases of new HIV/AIDS infection in the country.

Anyangwe was speaking in Blantyre at a three-day male and boy’s engagement training on ending gender-based violence and HIV/AIDS in men’s spaces.

Minister of Gender Mary Navitcha says men and boys are agents of change in ending sexual gender-based violence that often leads to the spreading of Sexually Transmitted Diseases like HIV/AIDS.
