Parliament Ignites Debate on JCE

The Parliamentary Education Committee has reignited the debate on the abolished Junior Certificate of Education examination by recommending that the Ministry of Education do through consultations to reinstate the exams.

The committee’s Chairperson Mr. Brenix Mfaume Kaise has told Zodiak that their position is for the exams to be restored basing the proposal on the poor performance of this year’s Malawi School Certificate of Education exams results.

The Education Ministry says will seek the views of stakeholders on the matter before coming up with a final decision.
