Huge Gap Between the Poor & Rich - OXFAM Report
A recent global report by OXFAM on inequality shows that the inequality gap between the rich and the poor I African countries is still huge, Malawi included.
OXFAM Malawi Country Director Lingalireni Mihowa says in Malawi, 50 percent of its population is living below the poverty, attributing this to COVID 19 among others which affected people economically as some shops were closed.
She says there is need for the country to diversify the economy and not only rely on Agriculture.
