Stambuli Dumps UDF

Clement Stambuli who was director of elections in the United Democratic Front (UDF) has resigned from his position and dumped the erstwhile governing party.

Stambuli, a former cabinet minister, has cited a desire to focus on personal matters as the reason for his decision.

Meanwhile, UDF Secretary General Kandi Padambo Padambo says he has accepted the resignation with regret.

Padambo has disclosed that the senior UDF member gas resigned while on suspension, pending a disciplinary hearing for an alleged breach of party constitution, a matter that brings complexity to his departure.
