Agriculture Company to Boost Economy-RBM
Reserve Bank governor, Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, is upbeat that the role out of an agriculture investment company will, significantly, help boost the economy.
Governor Kabambe said this in Lilongwe Tuesday at the official role out of operations of Malawi Agriculture and Industrial Investment Corporation-MAIIC.
He observed that, for a long time, institutions with medium or long term project plans were unable to access loans from the banks but should now be able to for the implementation of their agri-business plans.
The MAIIC will enable access to financial facilities by the private sector and international investors.
